The Federal Section of Chartered Engineering Consultants is the legally mandated body representing the interests of the 3,000 Austrian independent, freelance engineers.
Its main duties are the establishment and improvement of the professional conditions as well as providing for and furthering the social and economic interests of more than 40 constituent groups of engineering and scientific disciplines.
